Interested in working as a Corporate Accountant for a large multi-national brand in the middle of an incredibly interesting period of change and growth.
The role sits within a large central control team and plays an integral part in the preparation of financial and operational reporting, leads on planning and analysis, and provides general financial support to the business.
To succeed in this role you will be a technically strong accountant, but you will have an eye for detail. Your ability to efficiently interpret and understand data that can then be used to drive efficient and improved decision making at senior level is where you can add true value.
Prepare the statutory accounts for the UK and Corporate companies to meet the group and legal requirements.
Management of the preparation of internal reports in line with group requirements including quarterly forecasts, TSA, annual budgets, monthly reporting and disclosures for the Corporate companies.
Ensure quarterly VAT returns are prepared in a timely fashion to the right standard to ensure payment deadlines are met.
Manage the tax analysis process, completed by the outsource team, as required to support the tax department to identify disallowable expenditure that has been posted into sensitive areas and also supporting the PSA submission.
Produce financial reports and analysis as required to support the objectives of the finance function.
Assist in managing the audit process.
Maintain a current and up to date knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
Produce regular technical updates for distribution to the financial accounting department and for wider distribution to the finance department and respond to all technical queries raised regarding accounting issues.
Assistance with other month-end procedures and ad hoc projects from divisional or corporate head office.
Review of balance sheet reconciliations in line with group deadlines, ensuring any issues identified are followed up on a timely basis.
Preparation of commentary on working capital, as well as completing the budgeting and forecasting for working capital.
The key qualities needed for the Corporate Accountant’s are:
Be ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified (Will look at those who are nearly qualified).
Strong knowledge of Accounting principles and Standards (IFRS).
Up to date knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
A people person, enjoy engaging with stakeholders across finance and operational teams.
A salary of up to £42,000, Pension, Private Healthcare, Bonus.
